Postil

Pricing

Flat orchestration. Your inference, your rates.

Pricing in this category fails in one of two ways: per-review meters that punish fast teams, or opaque bundles that hide the model bill. Postil does neither.

The calculator

What does your team actually pay?

Compared against CodeRabbit Pro at its published $24/user/mo annual rate and Greptile's metered model ($30/seat plus per-review overage past the included allowance, as of June 2026). Adjust the inference estimate to match your model; it is paid to your provider either way.

Postil

$270

$250 orchestration + $20 inference on your key

CodeRabbit Pro

$600

$24/seat/mo, annual billing

Greptile

$750

$30/seat + $1/review past 50/dev (as of June 2026)

Monthly difference across 1,000 reviews

$330 saved vs CodeRabbit

$480 saved vs Greptile

And the hosted beta is currently free, so today's number is $20.

Questions

Billing, plainly.

What is my worst-case monthly cost?
Your seat count times $10, period. Orchestration is flat. Inference runs on your own key at your provider's rates and is visible in your provider's dashboard, not hidden in ours. There are no per-review surcharges, overage tiers, or credits.
What does "BYO key, zero markup" mean exactly?
You configure your own OpenRouter, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or Bedrock API key per organization. Postil passes every model call through on that key and adds nothing. If your company has a negotiated enterprise LLM agreement, reviews run at those rates.
What does the hosted beta cost today?
Nothing. While the GitHub App is in beta, Team-plan orchestration is free and your account carries a beta badge. The $10 flat rate applies when the beta ends; you will be told well in advance and can leave with your data.
Is the free tier actually free forever?
Yes. The CLI and GitHub Action are Apache-2.0 and run locally or in your CI forever. Hosted reviews on public repositories are free, and the self-hosted stack (web, worker, Postgres) is free with no seat limit.
What happens at 10x PR volume?
Your Postil bill does not change. Flat orchestration was chosen specifically because agentic workflows can push hundreds of PRs per developer per month — one publicly documented developer hit 571 in 30 days — where per-review pricing produces bills in the hundreds of dollars per developer.
Do you offer annual billing or invoicing?
During the beta, no payment is collected at all. Annual invoicing for the Team plan will be available at general availability.
